NE555P Pinout
ne555p Picture
NE555P is a precision programmable timer chip, is a member of the NE555 series produced by Texas Instruments, operating voltage 4.5 to 16V is very suitable for low-voltage circuits used as a timer or oscillator, used to time (timing time range can be from microseconds to hours, can be timed for a very wide time) or to generate signals; package for the DIP-8. NE555p although there is a good performance, but a few points to note that can not be used to drive high-power devices and particularly high frequency use will lead to accuracy. Although the NE555p has very good performance, but there are a few points to note, can not be used to drive high-power devices as well as the use of particularly high frequency will lead to inaccurate accuracy.
The pinout definitions are shown below:
Pin | Symbol | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | GND | Ground port, used to connect to ground on top of the board |
2 | TRIG | Trigger input port, triggered by receiving a low level signal |
3 | OUT | Port used to output high and low level signals |
4 | RESET | Reset port, active low on reception |
5 | CTRL | Control of high and low level duty cycle by external capacitor resistor |
6 | THRS | Comparator input port, used in conjunction with TRIG to select the operating state of the ne555p |
7 | DIS | Closes the output port, receiving a high level closes the OUT port |
8 | VCC | Power input port for direct power connection |
