ATmega162 Pinout
1:Overview of the ATmega162:
ATmega162 is an 8-bit microcontroller (MCU) based on the AVR architecture. It is a chip designed specifically for embedded applications. ATmega162 includes 16KB Flash program memory, 1KB of SRAM data memory and 512 bytes of EEPROM non-volatile memory, and supports online programming and repeated erase.
The chip is packaged in 40-pin PDIP/SOIC/TQFP and operates between 2.7V and 5.5V. The chip has a maximum frequency of 16MHz, an integrated 8-channel 10-bit ADC, SPI/I2C/UART communication interface, and watchdog timer.
Typically used in industrial control, data acquisition systems, intelligent instruments, communication interface expansion and low-cost embedded equipment development.
2:ATmega162 Important pin function definition:
Pin Number | Pin Name | Description | |
---|---|---|---|
Pin 40 | VCC | Digital supply voltage | |
Pin 20 | GND | GND | |
Pin 32–39 | PortA (PA7..PA0) | Port A is an 8-bit bi-directional I/O port with internal pull-up resistors (selected for each bit). The Port A output buffers have symmetrical drive characteristics with both high sink and source capability. | |
Pin 8–1 | PortB (PB7..PB0) | Port B is an 8-bit bi-directional I/O port with internal pull-up resistors (selected for each bit). The Port B output buffers have symmetrical drive characteristics with both high sink and source capability. | |
Pin 21–28 | PortC (PC7..PC0) | Port C is an 8-bit bi-directional I/O port with internal pull-up resistors (selected for each bit). The Port C output buffers have symmetrical drive characteristics with both high sink and source capability. | |
Pin 10–17 | PortD (PD7..PD0) | Port D is an 8-bit bi-directional I/O port with internal pull-up resistors (selected for each bit). The Port D output buffers have symmetrical drive characteristics with both high sink and source capability. | |
Pin 29–31 | PortE (PE2..PE0) | Port E is an 8-bit bi-directional I/O port with internal pull-up resistors (selected for each bit). The Port E output buffers have symmetrical drive characteristics with both high sink and source capability. | |
Pin 9 | RESET | Reset input. A low level on this pin for longer than the minimum pulse length will generate a Reset, even if the clock is not running. | |
Pin 19 | XTAL1 | Input to the Inverting Oscillator amplifier and input to the internal clock operating circuit. | |
Pin 18 | XTAL2 | Output from the Inverting Oscillator amplifier. |
